The Boulder Outdoor Center Policies

We are proud of our customer service. The BOC has been in business since 1980 with Eric Bader the founder running the company. Customer service has been and will continue to be extremely important.


We will work hard to understand your situation and help you in any way we can.
Customer Service
Please send us an email, or give us a call. We are more than happy to answer your questions, and help you get the equipment to make your day more fun.

Returns and Exchanges
Please enclose your receipt, any note/instructions that we may need to correctly handle the product you are returning, and ship prepaid and insured to: Boulder Outdoor Center, 2525 Arapahoe Avenue Suite E4-228, Boulder, CO 80302. Returns and exchanges must be back within 30 days of purchase in new condition.

Shipping
In stock items will ship within 24 hours of your order time, excluding weekends. We can ship overnight, 2-day and by ground. Equipment pickup may also be arranged. Larger items, such as boats have an extra fee for freight and must go by ground. Shipments outside of the 48 states, we will contact you with a freight rate. If you have a US address we can ship to that can handle your export, please contact us. We are not set up to handle or pay any duty/customs for another country.

Warranties
We have tried to post a link to all of the manufacturers on our links page. We have chosen to carry the best equipment possible, which reduces returns and equipment failures. Give us a call and fill us in on your warranty problem. We will do everything we can to help get the product covered under warranty.

Trips/Instruction/Tours/Clinics
The limit of liability for any trip booked through the BOC is the amount collected for the trip. (Trips booked through the BOC have refund polices at the bottom of the trip description pages.)

Deposits & Cancellations/Refunds:
Payment is required to reserve any clinic, rental or trip. Please see the bottom of the page for the trip you are or have booked for the cancellation policy.

Responsibility-Risk:
Everyone must recognize that accidents or illness may occur. We assume no responsibility for injury or personal belongings and will require you to sign a liability release and assumption of risk form before embarking on a trip.

Low Registration:
Most trips are based on 4 participants. In the event of low registration, we will give you the option to pay a surcharge which will make the trip happen with a smaller group. If the BOC cancels a trip, you can get a full refund, reschedule or gift card.

Security Deposit for Rentals:
All rentals require a picture ID and as a deposit, a major credit card/check made out for the value of the rented gear. A cash deposit is also acceptable.

Phone Reservations/Booking Fee:
Our website and prices are set up for you, our customer to be able to book any of our adventures, many at a discount online yourself through our website. If you are not able to book a reservation online, we can do this for you at a flat one time booking fee. We encourage you to save this fee and make your reservations directly through our website.
